Located south of the Mahale Mountains in the heart of Katavi National Park, said to be one of the wildest places on the planet.  The camp is on an elevated  vantage point rising out of the miombo woodland.  It has panoramic views over the Chada plain.  Katavi has vast plains and herds of up to 4000 buffalo.  There are also large lion prides residing here.  Hippo and croc can be found here and roan and sable antelope graze openly on the plains.  There are also elephant, leopard and cheetah.

The camp offers 6 large safari tents.  There is a private bathroom behind each tent which can be connected to the main tent if required.  There are also individual bush showers.

Chada Camp is filled with old books and maps, telescopes, lamps and leather backed chairs invoking a feeling of the early explorers.  The lounge area is comfortable and inviting

There is excellent game viewing here between July and October.  Walking safaris are also possible here.
